Story behind Om Salon
Why wholistic? Since most don't know what this means we decided to share the values behind what we offer the community.
At Om Hair Salon we take wholistic beauty seriously. Our clients and staff enjoy a relaxed professional atmosphere. ALL walks of life are welcome here.

The reason Beth chose the name Om is because of the peace she feels when meditating on the sound Ommm. She decided that same level of peace and tranquility should be brought into the salon. "Every time people say Om they get a little piece of Heaven and that's what I want people to feel when they visit my salon."​
​
There was a salon previous to Om being there. When Beth arrived the first thing she noticed was the esthetics needed an overhaul. She considered everything from wall color, art work, jazz piano music, natural wood and live plants. Anything she could think of to tap into the 5 senses and create a sense of peace.

Not only that we have high ethical and sustainable standards. "I really take the health and well being of everyone seriously." This is prevalent with the products we choose (primarily EU certified, vegan), proper recycling, even a state of the art air purification system.
Additionally, stylists at Om salon receive regular mentorship so they can really thrive in the industry. The staff undergoes regular training. They also have access to free wellness benefits.

Meet Beth- CEO & hairdresser
Beth offers an array of services for every hair type and especially enjoys hair color, haircuts and keratin services. Licensed since 2004, the credentials and achievements she is most proud of are:

ABCH certified master colorist (the beauty industry's most intensive color formulation and application testing)

Earned "artist of the year" award as a National artist for Keune Hair cosmetics.

National educator since 2009 (offering advanced training for professionals)

Getting to know Beth​
Her personality
Passionate, driven, results focused, heart felt with a desire to help people. Enjoys talking and connecting with people from all different backgrounds. Different ages, culture, all different experiences "because I'm so intrigued by how the mind works."
In her spare time
She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, any type of 3D sculpture whether its pottery or hair, and really nerds out on all things wellness related like yoga, meditation and healthy life choices in general.
How she got started
Beth knew from a young age she would be a hairdresser. Starting with humble beginnings she grew up in the beauty and fashion industry and has been named a master in her craft. She started working in a salon at age 11. "I walked to the salon after school each day." This is where her drive to become a licensed hairdresser and educator started. She pursued cosmetology at 15 years old while in high school so she was licensed upon graduation at 18.
Her career as an educator
At 23 a global brand noticed her work with hair color and invited her to teach for the company. She worked alongside some of the best in the industry for10 years. She also trained with a chemist and consulted regularly with hairdressers, salon owners and sales reps.
Her work behind the chair
She has always pushed herself to maximize her knowledge in various skills. As a result she is certified to offer services ranging from haircuts and color to keratin treatments, waxing and special event looks.
