Do you offer services to people outside of UNCC?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Matter of fact at least half of our clients are from Charlotte and surrounding. We also cover parking during the time of your visit. Be sure to show us your parking slip upon checking out for your service.

Question 2

I am a licensed cosmetologist. Do you offer commission or booth rent?

We offer both!
We are an extremely busy salon. In order to uphold the reputation of Om Hair Salon we do have some requirements to rent a booth. (We can make exceptions if you are coming with your own clientele.)

Booth rent opportunities- Booth rent means you know your niche, have a clientele and don't need help running your business.

**It is not required to be a master artist to rent a booth however if you come to OM Salon to build your clientele we do ask that you start out as salary plus commission. This is insurance that you truly are ready for booth rent. Professionalism and comfort with services is really key. We also want to be sure you find your niche. It really depends on your comfort and your goals. The salary/commission period may last 4 weeks or upwards of a year.

Salary plus commission- Ideal for a new artist or anyone looking to build clientele. You receive a base salary plus commission so the more you work the more you get paid. We also offer ongoing advanced training and coaching. The owner is a national color artist and enjoys pouring her knowledge into others. Especially passionate artists and entrepreneurs. With this position you will gain clients FAST.

Holistic? Wellness? What does this mean exactly?

We call ourselves a wellness salon first and foremost. This is due to the careful layout of the space and level of experience. This includes everything from clean hair products, planet friendly choices such as proper recycling, even a state of the art air purification system. The esthetics of the space are perfectly mapped out to tap into the 5 senses creating an instant relaxed effect. Clients commonly say they feel a peaceful vibe. (This makes it easy as artists to also feel good and not feel over run by end of the day.)

Chaotic salons are a thing of the past. Om Hair Salon strives to support a new wave of professionals serving our industry. This brings a new level of experience to both clients and hair artists.

International? We serve ALL walks of life! The reason Beth loves Charlotte is because it's a melting pot of different cultures. The college has a lot of international students too which we love. We really enjoy connecting and hearing about different traditions and values that each culture has.

Do you take walk ins?

Yes! Often our online scheduling appears to be full but we can still work in haircuts. So come by any time!
